Ait Ben Haddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Numerous movies and TV shows have been shot here, including Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Kingdom of Heaven, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy and many more, but because it’s a UNESCO site, the movie sets have to be taken down again after filming, so the Ksar sticks to its authentic Berber Kasbahs.
